What can Brown do for you?

He can capture a Senate seat that has been in (D) hands for four-plus generations.

Congratulations to Mr. Brown and his family. I would like to say that I am fully behind Gateway Pundit’s idea of having him give the GOP response to Obama’s upcoming State of the Union address. He is the perfect person to give it. The “from his truck” part I’m still trying to figure out the logisitcs on, however.

Moe Lane wants to know who will be next.

This message goes out to every vulnerable Democratic Congressman representing a Republican or even centrist district – and after tonight, who among you is not vulnerable? It is a simple message: we can do this the easy way, or we can do it the hard way. The easy way is, you suddenly decide that you have a burning desire to spend more time with your families. So you don’t run for re-election, you walk off stage technically undefeated, and you go join a lobbying firm. The hard way is, you do run for re-election, and we pry you out of your seats.

We want to do this the hard way. We will enjoy doing it.

That’s your only warning. And remember: nobody is going to be able to save you. If the President, the DSCC, the DCCC, the DNC, the SEIU, ACORN, and the netroots couldn’t manage a win in Massachusetts… what do you think that they can do for you?

For somewhat personal reasons, as a gunnie, I’d like to see it be Boxer. C’mon, Californistanis, this is your time to prove that you mean it.

But back to MA. It’s not like the Dems didn’t try being crooked about it either. Brown just won by such a large margin that they couldn’t cook up enough votes to overcome it.

And good for him on that front as well.

Erick Erickson of RedState had this to say:

The irony here though, is that Obama’s unicorn of hope and change is dying under Ted Kennedy…that if Ted Kennedy had decided to resign or retire when he found just out how bad his health was, instead of wanting to be a martyr for the cause, the Democrats wouldn’t be in this position.

You giggled because it’s true.

Plus, it makes Jon Stewart go apopleptic

Hard to say how much is Jon overacting and how much is him being serious.

But yeah, he’s quite correct. The Republicans (at least in Massachusetts) were playing chess, and the Democrats were… well, you get the picture 😀

  2. Myles says:

I give him bonus points for bringing up the rule change that happened a couple years back. A lot of people didn’t know about that.

  3. Mollbot says:

I like how toward the end of his clip he brings up the Massachusetts health care system calling it “more progressive” than the proposed Obamacare – and doesn’t mention that it’s failing, falling apart, and already so out of money it can’t recover.
