Fundy Protestants first and foremost… And I’m sorry to say I’m not speculating. 20+ years ago a group down in San Juan Capistrano, CA had a public seminar on earth-crossing asteroids and what to do about them and the 2nd or 3rd person go ask a question rambled on about Revelations and end times until the moderator finally cut him off saying “ask your question or sit down, we aren’t here to listen to your rambings.”
My guess is fundy Muslims will be complaining soon after because Infidels would be altering Allah’s plan.
Rick T is on target but I was going to go with the Eco-Freaks. A large asteroid on path to hit the Earth is really Mother Gaia reaching out with her arms of gravity for relief from the virus that is mankind… or something like that.

When are WE gonna learn that WE are at the top of the heap and needn’t even listen to these anencephalic idiots? If they don’t like what we’re doing, they can simply work hard, get to the top, and do what they want. In the (seven millennia) meanwhile they can hitch their National Spavined Donkey to their National Scrap Yard Salvage Donkey Cart, load the entire eight dollars worth of their National Cultural Treasure on it and get the “eff” out from under.

I don’t quite know how, but somehow the asteroid that hits Earth will be all because of the evils of capitalism. I expect Hugo Chavez will rant on it, Michael Moore will make a film about it, Howard Zinn and Chomsky will both comment on it in articles.
AlGore will make millions off it by selling Gaia indulgences….
