You know, I hate plaintiffs’ lawyers, but…

…this woman deserved every penny of the $40,000 settlement she apparently got from the cops.

NO. She deserves to spend about 10 days in JAIL for resisting arrest. She got $40K of MY MONEY (I live in Travis CO.) because of utube and because the limpwristed Travis Co. commiszars are afraid of going to court. For $40K she should have been whacked on the head a couple of times with a nightstick.

    Hmm… I could use $40k… $40k for a couple of head-whacks sounds awfully tempting…

As for Granny, I’ve not been to Texas, but I’m guessing people don’t speed there? Any California cop who threatened to arrest someone for failing to sign a speeding ticket would get laughed at. EVERYBODY speeds, all the time.

The “less than lethal” tag that tasers have make them all too tempting to use, and they seem to get used a hell of a lot more frequently than they need to be. Dude couldn’t control grandma without electrocuting her? Please. He was twice her size. She deserves everp frigging penny of that settlement. That was completely unneccessary. My only problem is the damn cop should have to pay her.

Lesson learned here, is that its ok to resisting arrest, speed and be a bitch if you are 87+ years old, and if the police are forced to use force and its caught on tape, even though it was withing the departments escalation of force rules, you get $40K if and edited version of that shows up on you-tube. yeah that sounds fair.

  5. Davidwhitewolf says:

“Forced” to use force? Naah. Maybe that’s what they trained him to do in that situation, but I’ll bet they’re revising that training now….

You’re right this is the edited version. Let me see if I can find an embeddable uncut one. Of course, that includes the bit where he shoves her….

  6. Kevin S says:

Yes, actually, in America it IS OK to be a bitch, regardless of age. That’s not a crime – yet.
