Reality from “The Reich”

Last week whilst I was learning what the underside of my commode looked like, there was a kerfuffle about some thing former Secretary of Labor, Robert Reich, said about how government-run health care necessarily and absolutely means that health care will be rationed by the government, especially to the elderly and those near death.

However, that wasn’t the only honest thing Professor Reich stated in that speech. Other highlights include

Younger people should pay more

Healthier people should pay more

You should not expect to live longer than your parents.

If we use government to control costs there will be “less innovation” in medical technology

Medicare will bankrupt the nation unless something is done

Richard Fernandez lists more hard truths that Reich stated in that speech, on more topics than just health care, over at The Belmont Club.

And now, having read the lines, we can prove that they know their system is unsustainable, and yet don’t care because they want the power.
