That is where you vote for I-1033. They didn’t leave it off the ballot, they just stuffed it below the “Example” box so that you don’t notice it if you’re not looking for it.
While I’m not an actual resident of King County, I am perched within sight of their territory and my phone number is prefixed to King County. This was confirmed for me when I got a call from the League of Urban Voters telling me of the placement of said Initiative on the ballot.
They, of course, want me to vote against it. Which is, of course, a reason to vote for it.
As a voter from Thurston county, currently in Germany (autobahn rules!) i hope i am not the only one that read the I-1033 against article, it was just the author whining about how its not ‘fair’ to limit government growth and taxes in this down turn. WTF over why is it ok for everyone but the government to tighten their belts during this down turn. Its a down turn now is sure as hell not the time to raise taxes and impose more government regulation, if anything its a time for less, or at least the same level of restrictions on our freedoms.
Dagamore is right. When the horse is tired you want to ease up on it so it can rest a bit and take off running again.
I’d like to see this get passed in every state. It would impose some discipline on the profligates we seem to re elect to the assemblies, and it would stick it to them for fudging the official inflation number out of truth and relevance.
