You should have been there

Really. No, really.

Take the thumb and forefinger on your right hand and make an L, put that hand up to your forehead and then go look in the mirror. That is you for not being there.

Second Amendment hero, Alan Gura, Rachel Parsons from the NRA, Bill Brassard from the NSSF, Chuck Ziegenfuss from Valor IT, Quick Cal from CFDA, The Shooter’s Log blogger, also known as the Cheaper Than Dirt blog (hit that link multiple times, please), Lucky Gunner ammo, Crimson Trace, Springfield Armory, etc., etc. I know I’m probably forgetting somebody out, but that is what 36 hours of driving will do to a guy.

Add to that list three days of range time with prizes, a raffle whose proceeds go to the most worthy of all US citizens, guided tours of A++ firearms and sporting goods retailers, and hours of the best live conversations you’ll have all year with bloggers and readers from across the country (and this year, around the world) and really, there are very few acceptable excuses as to why you missed it?

Don’t go thinking I’m chastizing y’all, for I am not totally free from “The Lame”. Every time I go on a trip I forget one important thing. This year it was the photographic equipment. This means I have only cell phone camera pics, all of which are of epic fail quality compared to Derek the Packing Rat’s.

Mr. C and KeeWee were also snapping lots of photos for the electronic record.

Your next best bet would be to just start clicking on the blogs on the GBR list of attendees.

Just block out September 2010 and wait for Mr. C to announce the dates. You will not regret it.

And now if’ you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to go begin the recovery/gun cleaning processes.
