The Soundboard: Tasteful Selections Part 2

Lynyrd Skynyrd made their way into Tom Moon’s book 1000 Recordings to Hear Before You Die.

Sadly, he only posts up the album version of “Free Bird” as the recommended recording. That’s nice and all, but c’mon, anyone can out that on a list (and when I say “anyone” I’m looking straight at the hipster poseurs at Rolling Stone).

But lets get beyond the tracks you can hear on any decent FM radio station.

Simple Man (Live 1976) – Lynyrd Skynyrd

And hows a bout a live cover

Gimmie a T for Texas and a T for Tennessee (Live 1976) – Lynyrd Skynyrd

That last one’s a little bit large, so be careful with it, and enjoy!
