They had to have a story line

So that they could blame “THE GUNS”. The true story wasn’t good enough, so they made one up.

Think you know everything about the murders at Columbine High School in Littleton, CO from 10 years ago?

You don’t.

And most of what you thought was true is/was wrong.

Hit this link and read a textbook case of how the media takes a rumor and pushes it until it becomes “The Truth”.

UPDATE: I’ve been flipping through the channels and reading the local and national news this weekend to find exactly what I thought would happen (and why I posted this): Large quantities of “Columbine 10 Years After” coverage.

Either they haven’t read the updated story (hard to believe) or they want to keep lying about the incident (makes for easy copy).

What is the use of having a Free Press if they don’t change their reporting to reflect the changes discovered over the last decade?

Another media uptake I keep noting in the “News” on crime in general. The media keeps saying how well we are doing because of the suddenly lower crime rate…for which they have “no explanation” the implication being that the loss of cops from the County next year, 60 to 80 commissioned is OK. The reason the ‘crime rate’ is “low” is that the prosecutors office is only charging about 1/2 of the crimes it did last year! And prosecuting only about 1/3 of those. Orwell would be proud! This is going to get LOTS worse as the real crime rate spikes as the underworld finds out it is unrestrained and the media attempt to cover up why.
