With relevance to this weekend’s posts

I took the weekend off to instigate parts #1 and #2 of our Three Part Plan to spend our income tax “refund” and didn’t catch onto the developments and plot lines of these two posts until last night.

Then I surfed around and discovered this

China prepares to clamp down on workers’ protests

The Chinese authorities are training police forces around the country to deal with potential labour unrest as unemployment rises at its fastest rate for decades. President Hu Jintao has called on the army to remain loyal in the face of growing discontent at the first downturn many Chinese have ever experienced.

These forces ARE training in the streets, alleyways and shops of the towns they live in.

However, the civilians in these towns aren’t volunteers. Nor are they armed.

Yes, the situation over the weekend was a bit overblown. But it was probably more than a little helpful to show the “powers that be, etc.” that we are at least watching.

    Verrrrrry interesting!

If Premier Hu Jintao had to PUBLICLY call on the PLA to remain loyal, my guess is that were/are only moments away from doing something DISLOYAL, such as replacing him.

My tax “return” is going to pay my property taxes. ALL OF IT and then sum. Bastards
