If you were a member of the rightosphere during the Bush years, you were labeled as a “supporter of torture” by the leftosphere, no matter what you had written against the former President and/or his policies in the past.
Nothing mattered except blind loyalty to The One and/or the Democrat Party.
During the past two weeks (yes, it has only been that long) the news has been rife with glowing reports of President Obama’s multiple Executive Order signings. But anyone who has been paying closer attention has noticed that our new President has only signed a lot of symbolic EO’s.
His Order to close Club Gitmo came with an asterisk that allows him to open up another off-shore detention facility at any time and to not need to tell anyone.
His Order to stop rendition of prisoners was nothing of the sort, and included provisions to expand the program.
And his Order to “put an end to torture” contained a loophole, which was subsequently classified, that reportedly lets the CIA do quite a number of things the leftists have been whining about for years.
In light of these things, and because the leaders of the leftosphere have either not noticed the above three items, in which case they are blatantly ignorant of current events, or are purposely not writing about them because they would then have to call for the arrest and trial of their Executive Deity, I would like to join Moe Lane in welcoming a few of the leftosphere’s stars to the “Pro-Torture Stooge” list.
