They stream radio over the web

So it would be a natural “progressive” idea, wouldn’t it?

Talk radio just isn’t enough for these guy. They want to control it all.

Senior FCC staff working for acting Federal Communications Commissioner Michael Copps held meetings last week with policy and legislative advisers to House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry Waxman to discuss ways the committee can create openings for the FCC to put in place a form of the “Fairness Doctrine” without actually calling it such.

Waxman is also interested, say sources, in looking at how the Internet is being used for content and free speech purposes. “It’s all about diversity in media,” says a House Energy staffer, familiar with the meetings. “Does one radio station or one station group control four of the five most powerful outlets in one community? Do four stations in one region carry Rush Limbaugh, and nothing else during the same time slot? Does one heavily trafficked Internet site present one side of an issue and not link to sites that present alternative views? These are some of the questions the chairman is thinking about right now, and we are going to have an FCC that will finally have the people in place to answer them.”

Not one single blog I have page-viewed on the leftosphere has come out against the reistitution of the Fairness Doctrine.

In fact, most of them spend a good deal of time belittling any worries from folks on the right about the Democrat run government imposing it.

I predict a changing of their tune in short order if this gets moving in any way. But by then, it’ll be too late.

Fuck you, Waxman! What’s next, a mind-reading chip so that if we think incorrect thoughts we can be sent to the gulag, errr, a re-education camp?

Fuck you! The more people like you open your pie holes and tell us about your dreams of a dictatorship, the wiser the Founding Gun Nuts appear. And,of course, you want our guns, too. Fuck you!!! Oh, and Molon Labe! In case you don’t get the reference, I’ll give it to you: “Come and take them.” http://moviesonline.ca/TheFeed/index.php?id=300-laydownyourweapons Just remember: there are more than 300 of us.

This is some “camel’s back is broken” stuff.

Put all their craziness together and they are asking for trouble.

  3. Rivrdog says:

Before the election last November, many of us wondered if the First or Second amendment would come under attack first.

It appears to be the First, first. I was wrong. So sorry.

I’m sure the Constitution-killers in the Obama gang won’t give us much time to regret my error, though, before they DO come after the Second.

Haven’t these monkeys ever heard of Pirate Radio? It’s around pretty much everywhere radio is controlled. Setting up an Internet II wouldn’t take much, either.

And in the meanwhile, El Rushbo laughs all the way to the bank as his ratings soar.

You’d think the past 8 years of Booooooosh, evil McCheneyHalliburton, FEMA, DHS, and the TSA would’ve given the libs the idea that lots of gvt. miight not be the best idea. But no, “distrust authority” only applies when you’re not the authority.
