Round Hole.
During the 2008 Gubernatorial campaign here in Washington, it was pointed out that our state was going to face a $3-4 Billion deficit in 2009. Her Governoress refused to admit that was true and would repeat over and over that it was only “projected” to be that large and that she would make sure it wouldn’t happen.
And she succeeded!
Since her re-swearing in it is now known that Washington State is facing an $8 Billion budget deficit.
Oddly enough, that $8 Billion figure is nearly the exact amount the Her Governoress increased spending during her first four years in office, when she had a pair of Democrat supermajorities in the legislature and state Republicans were warning that the incoming tax reciepts weren’t going to increase every year.
