Something Smells Here

One of our local talk jocks who isn’t even as far to the right as Tucker Carlson was yakking about the new licensing scheme set up for boats and other personal watercraft when a caller phoned in to point out that the booklet “Home Study Course” for the test you have to take to get your cert costs $10, but when he clicked on the Spanish language edition it was free.

You can see the two screen-grabs here.

So I need to know if there is an habla espanol type in the house to read the info and tell me if they’re doing an apples to apples comparison or if the state is making things stink.

I’ve examined it a little closer. Evidently, the entire book isn’t yet translated, but chapter 4 is, which is the chapter with Washingtons unique laws. That chapter is included, along with the book, “American Navigating”, and the exam necessary for the course, also in Spanish.
