I didn’t think it possible

That a group could put out a political mailer against a white guy and be called racists

But that is what some tumblefuck named Glenn W. Smith says here

A group called “Empower Texans,” chaired by Tim Dunn of Midland, an associate of Republican Texas House Speaker Tom Craddick, attacked Democratic state House candidate Joel Redmond of Pasadena with a direct mail piece featuring fuzzy images of black and Hispanic lawmakers (plus Barack Obama), several black birds resembling crows, and a picture of the white Redmund. The tag line: “Birds of a feather flock together.”

Anyone with any racial sensitivity gets the meaning of the mailer: Redmond has betrayed whites by befriending people of color. He can’t be trusted.

If’n you don’t want to soil your eyes by hitting the link, let me tell you what Smith left out: That the shot of the birds has them sitting on a branch in silouette. Are they crows? Possibly, but they could also be ravens or magpies or mockingbirds or Crackles.

This jackass doesn’t know anything for sure, yet he is willing to interpret it for you in the hopes that you won’t question his ideas.

Yeah, sorry Glenn. But someone whose “racial sensitivity” is turned up this high needs medication, not easy access to a computer.

Unlike Glenn, I ventured over to the Empower Texans website and discovered that they are a subsidiary of texans for Fiscal Responsibility. I then took a look at their list of political endorsements. It includes names like Torres, Garza, Chen and Olmos. Them is some real racists right there. Promoting the candidacies of Asians and Hispanics.
I wonder if Glenn W. Smith was educated through the Seattle School District, since, to this day, they still promote this definition of racism

These aspects of society that overtly and covertly attribute value and normality to white people and whiteness, and devalue, stereotype, and label people of color as “other”, different, less than, or render them invisible.

Or maybe he is a little soft in the head? We’ll have to wait in see if he stops by to find out.
