And if this surprises you

You haven’t been paying attention.

An e-mail distributed by a Virginia teachers union encouraged members to bring politics into the classroom by wearing blue in support of Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama and simultaneously suggested that the union’s voter registration efforts include those “you teach.”

The Virginia Education Association (VEA) e-mail drew strong criticism Wednesday from elected Republican officials and some residents after the state Republican Party obtained a copy. The author of the e-mail conceded Wednesday that the e-mail should have been worded differently.

The only thing I find surprising is that it appears that the VEA actually believed that they didn’t have even a single non-lemming on the rolls?

The kids need education, but all the unions are interested in is indoctrination.

Under an Obama Administration, with the unions getting a seat on the big leather couch in the Oval Office, this will be happening in our nation’s schools

Earlier this year, Bill Henson was a national punching bag, vilified as a child pornographer and denounced by political leaders. His photographs of naked children were seized by police and stripped from gallery walls. It seemed not out of the question that one of the nation’s most honoured photographers might end up in jail.

….

The Henson uproar was provoked by the picture of a naked 12-year-old girl on the invitation to his show at the Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery in Sydney in May. Within hours of the picture being denounced by the Herald’s Miranda Devine and Sydney radio station 2GB, police shut the gallery. They seized 32 pictures. The Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, condemned Henson’s photographs as “absolutely revolting”.

….

Most of his models come from his own world. “Sometimes it’s a friend, or the kids of a friend, or a friend of a friend. Sometimes it can be a friend of a relative. Sometimes you are walking down the street or you are in a restaurant and you see someone. There is this face. All you can do is give them a card and say: ‘Look, just Google me, and I’d be very interested in photographing your daughter or son.’ ”

Henson was having trouble finding the models he needed for the Sydney exhibition due to open in May. Friends introduced him to the principal of a Melbourne primary school. This wasn’t, by any means, the first time he had been invited into schools in his search for models.

“Hey, Mr. & Mrs. Taxpayer. Your child’s needs some new text books. This deal with this photographer could be lucrative for the school. He is also willing to pay you all for your troubles, and you do want little Billy to go to college, right?”

Sick fucking bastards.

What would happen if righties found a school with the usual Blue emphasis, took over the PTA (or whatever it’s called these days) and made a few noisy complaints about the indoctrinations illustrated here?

You’d get wailing and gnashing of teeth, probably along the lines of “They’re going to force Creationism on the Kids!” hollering from those who stand to lose influence of the chillun’s edumaction.
