Where Global Warming does not exist

Made it to the show yesterday, late, due to a non-family emergency. Even with us showing up as the sun was getting ready to set and about 1/4 of the cars having already left for the day, it was still a good show.

Folks are lined up in front of “The World Famous” Swiss Tavern watching the live stage.

I’d have video footage of that, but some jackass who looks like me forgot to charge up the batteries for the Everio.

For those who didn’t see last years pics of the show here are some links to the posts (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday). As with last year, there’ll be a post a day for the rest of the week, though I probably won’t theme them. This year I”ll be focusing on some of the weird and unusual stuff that you’ll only see at a show like this one.

The Mischief Makers Hotrod-A-Rama purposely takes place the weekend after the huge show put on at the Puyallup Fairgrounds by the Good Guys to give the rodders who don’t want to have to slather their car in billet and eight coats of clear a place to show off their rides.

Which is exactly why I go to this show and not the other. I’ve seen enough stocker Corvettes in my life to turn my stomach and giggle just a little when their owners have to park and become spectators.

I prefer cars with character

And the girls that come with them

I’d actually have some pics to post of the ladies at the show, but The Wife was not approving of my even speaking with them to get their permission for a photo.

So I made due with the cars. This 66 Lincoln was getting stripped as I took this pic.

That’s fresh paint on the front corners.

And there were a trifecta of old Sprint Cars from the local Golden Wheels Fraternity there as well, with this one being my favorite.

Stop by for the rest of the week for more from the show.
