More Boomershoot Coolness

At Boomershoot 2008, all registered attendees received a free copy of David Hardy’s “In Search of the Second Amendment”

I’ve watched it three times since I got home and am amazed at the plethora of facts he was able to pack into this documentary. It is to Joe’s credit that he was able to get these for us.

I have also loaned it out to four friends, two of which ordered their own copy.

Hit one of these links and order yours today.

David Hardy has handed us another gift to pass around: 21 facts about Barack Obama’s voting record when it comes to your rights as a gun owner.

It should scare the pants off of you and anyone else who loves them some Second Amendment.

This is knowledge that needs to be relayed to every gun owner you know.

I work with Teamsters. The national Teamsters organization endorsed Obama during the primary and will do so again in the general. The local union officers will be around with their political materials in September/October. I will be posting/passing this information out starting today with the “hope” that I will “change” some fence sitting minds beforehand and give the locals some heartburn via union members questioning the union’s stance on their Second Amendment rights.

I wondered if anyone had watched the video – yours is the first commentary on them I’ve seen. Perhaps I just overlooked the others, but I don’t think so.

The route to the Boomershoot was a strange one – David sent me a copy to review, which I did. I passed it on to Joe and Lyle, then broached buying them in bulk for Lyle to put one in each UltiMAK product he shipped. Joe ordered them in bulk from David for sale at the shoot; I suggested charging enough to cover the costs. Joe decided to give them away, and I think it’s a good thing.

Hopefully David will have a post-Heller version. It’s amazing, behind the scenes, how much David had to do with Heller. I think he wrote or ghost-wrote most of a half-dozen Amicus filings; truly, he is a force to be reckoned with.

Ry got everything right but there are a few more details that may be of interest. I got copy of my own via a drawing at the Gun Blogger Rendezvous in Reno (thanks to Say Uncle). Lyle and I then watched it when he came over to get his NRA Firearm instruction and stayed in my bunker in the Seattle area.

We were quite impressed but didn’t do anything beyond that until Ry suggested it. I asked Dave Hardy for a quote on larger quantities and he gave me a good price on 150 units. It put Boomershoot 2008 “in the red” but I figured it was a worthy cause.

I met with and talked to Dave Hardy at the NRA Convention last month. He is a nice guy as well as extremely knowledgeable and hard working. He is another one of those people you are very glad to have on your side.
