The Soundboard: The “I’m not wearing one of those gowns” Edition

First off, I’d like to give two very big thumbs-up to David for carrying yesterday through on short notice.

As you may have guessed, I was again invited, with a tad bit more insistence than the last time, to be the guest for a day at the local Medical Center with the bigoted “No Weapons Zone” policy.

Once again, for the 8.5 hours I was there, they were not a “No Weapons Zone”.

And also once again, I am reminded why I don’t like hospitals: The people there poke at you with sharp things (for your own good, they say) and no matter how much they try to keep it away, I can smell the death seeping through the walls.

To which today’s tunage is related to my absolute insistence that I spend as little time as possible in the facility, I cut short my stay, filled out the required discharge forms (requested upon my arrival), got into my street clothes and walked out much earlier than anyone but I had suspected.

  1. Geoff says:

How do you carry at hospital? If you’d be so kind as to divulge…

I have an el-cheapo zippered notebook (full size) that I’ve managed to fit my G21 in a fobus paddle, along with a surefire 6P, and a fobus dual mag holster with 2 mags. Seems to most folks to be pretty innocuous.

I’d tell you, but then I’d have to kill you…

Just kidding. You pretty much have it down, but I bought one of these premade items

I’m supposed to bring my own sleepwear, so having a bag or two wasn’t out of the ordinary.
