The Parts Are In

Actually they’ve been in, I just haven’t had time to pick them up.

But that’s OK, I couldn’t get Buddy seen until today.

Which is the other bit of news: He’ll be spending the weekend at a friend’s home gettin’ hung.

What you see above is the Rubicon Express 3.5in SuperRide lift kit like the one you can find here. Though, i didn’t buy it from them and I didn’t pay that much for it. I also picked up the Extended Slip Yolk for installation here until I can afford to go w/a CVF Driveshaft.

Before and after pics next week (hopefully Monday) and if I can convince my boss that me coming in a couple hours late tonight won’t stop the planet from turning, some during pics too.

Anyway, I’m off to the shop. Up, Up and hopefully not away.

You gonna get Air Lockers for that Jeep?

Not anytime soon. The system costs too much and there are other things I’d like to do to the vehicle first (extended range gas tank, better tires, cargo capacity expansion, etc).

I won’t be doing any rock crawling, so I’m not really seeing the immediate need for lockers. I have seen a system that converts my “unnecessary in WA” AC compressor to just an straight air compressor, for things like airbag suspensions. I’d do that (for hauling capacity expansion reason) first.

Oh man, you are gonna love that set-up when you are done. Looking forward to seeing the before/after pics. I myself have wanted to get ARB air lockers for some time now, but the cost has always put that upgrade to the back burner. Even so, you will be surprised at how much the standard diff & t-case set can take you through.
