Sadly

This was our “illegal immigration investigation” technique for far too long.

Normally, a non-injury rear-end collision wouldn’t warrant a news story. But in an ironic twist, this crash involved a van full of illegal immigrants which slammed into an SUV owned by the Department of Homeland Security.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the Chrysler van was heading west Tuesday morning when it was involved in a three-vehicle chain-reaction crash near the Elliot Road off-ramp. Harold Sanders with DPS said, “the 11 illegal immigrants inside the van were turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.”

Illegal Immigrants: Rear-ending the government vehicles Americans won’t.

At least nowadays we have SOME semblance of a program visiting employers of illegals.

And while I do not believe that it is the bank’s job to call ICE whenever they get an illegal trying transact money, they could at least have the decency to not complete said transactions.

Michelle Malkin points out the raising of the pitch of the whine about illegals losing their homes during the mortgage troubles of late.

As an economic slowdown and the subprime mortgage crisis deepen across the United States, Hispanic immigrants are increasingly in danger of losing their jobs and their homes.

Both legal and illegal immigrants joined Americans in buying homes they could barely afford when the market spiraled upward and many have been caught with mortgages higher than the value of their homes as prices have slumped in the past year.

I don’t like illegals BUILDING homes in America, let alone owning them.

Oh sure, let’s bail them out too while we’re at it.

Just try buying property in Mexico. Anywhere you’d want that property (on either of the coasts), it’s a “National Zone” or somesuch, and foreigners can’t buy it, only lease it from one of the three national banks.

Damn %^$$$##^&*&())@#@#$@ and double GRRRRRRRRRRRrrr ! Don’t even get me going on this !!!

Both of these issues make my blood pressure go up and that’s not good. Remain Calm, calm, calm – there, that’s better.

Why bother calling them “illegal” immigrants any more? It is not as though they are going to be processed for their law-breaking, and it is not as though we are going to do anything about it any more.

How about “undocumented resident”, or “residents without borders” or something equally inane. Hell, give it until the next election, and we may very well be calling them “citizens”.
