Yesterday our group went wheeling for a New Years day run. Not long into the ride one of the new Jeep Wranglers went past a fallen tree and a branch that was sticking out hooked the Jeep. The end of the tree broke through the wheel well and almost seriously injured the driver.
The definition of “Almost” perfectly defined in picture form.

…Which is why my S-10 Blazer carries around a couple hundred pounds of skid plates under the engine compartment and under the fuel tank. Sent the pictures to my daughter and she now tells me she will quit harassing me about the “useless weight”.
