I actually went and repurchased a my favorite pair of Reverend Horton Heat dics to post some tunage today, but seeing as how this is August 16th, I think we’ll let that slide for royalty. Stop by tomorrow for the Rev.

On January 14th, 1973 Elvis went via satellite from Honolulu for charity and brought the roof down on the place. Today’s selections are from the album from that show.

An American Trilogy 

The guy was an entertainer, no matter what anything anyone else has to say about him. When you showed up, you were the only thing that mattered to him and he made sure that not only he, but his entire band entertained. They were badder than Shaft, Superfly, James Bond and Kung Fu all put together.

    Met him at a dojo years ago; he was so snockered he could hardly stand up. Mostly what his bodyguards were doing was keeping him from falling down.
