Angry parents have blasted a teacher for telling ten-year-olds to copy a Muslim prayer saying “There is no God but Allah” Helen Green is said to have picked the Muslim call to prayer as hand writing practice.
Hand writing practice. Meaning, you write it over and over and over again.
I find it mildly surprising that a Brit paper would get to the crux within the first five paragraphs, but they did.
Pupil Billy Darbyshire’s stepmum Hayley Clayton said: “The explanation was that the children were learning about Islam in RE. “But this was like he was taking an oath. A Muslim child would never be asked to write a Bible passage.”
By surprising I mean that they were both able to publish the point and not get charged with a hate crime.
Of course, now we’ll have to wait and see if the UK Muslims riot because someone too their prayer less than seriously.
