RNS Quote of the Day: 07/16/07

More eco-sociopaths. I just can’t run out of these damn people saying things that make me want to puke.

Cannibalism is a radical but realistic solution of the problem of overpopulation.

Lyall Watson in the 07/15/95 Financial Times

Anyone with a subscription to FT care to give me a way into their archives would be appreciated. Even BugMeNot is turning up zilch.

So you want to play “footsie” with the (spit) Socialist Brits? Good luck getting into their site, and as gov’t-heavy as they are, you would be putting your name on a list, and I, for one, don’t do Socialist lists with good grace.

  2. DFWMTX says:

Sure, cannibalism is a great solution until:
1- you are on the menu
2- after a couple of generations practicing cannibalism you get kuru, a disease very much like mad cow.

Somehow I think Mr. Watson didn’t think of those two things happening when he said that. When eco-nuts talk about horrific solutions to global warming or overpopulation, they never see themselves as being on the receiving end of the solutions they propose.
