Back in November of last year, local Reaganesque activists, The Evergreen Freedom Foundation, requested that certain documents pertaining to the union negotiations between the State of Washington and the state employee’s union, SEIU 775, be made public.
In February the state prepared these documents for release. When the union found out about this they made quite a stink and took the state and the EFF to court, stating these these notes were not of the public record and could not be released.
So sad for them, but Washington State Superior Court Judge Christopher Washington (how appropriately named can you get?) ruled last Friday that the SEIU was a bunch of nutters and that the documents need to be released immediately (pdf file).
Now for the EFFÂ to find out what they wanted to hide.
