RNS Quote of the Day: 06/18/07

This weeks quote’s will be from eco-socialists who love the planet so much that they wish humans weren’t on it.

We’ll start with a couple from Earth First! founder, Dave Foreman.

We advocate biodiversity for biodiversity’s sake. It may take our extinction to set things straight.

Phasing out the human race will solve every problem on earth, social and environmental.

He may be on to something there. If there weren’t any humans on the earth, there wouldn’t be anyone to claim that there was something wrong with the environment.

Nah, I like living here. I just need these bozos to quit their constant whining.

  1. Rivrdog says:

I wonder what it would take to have a court legally declare his brand of “environmentalism” a religious cult.

Once it was, we could properly and legally declare the followers crazy cultists, and deny them guns.

Oh, excuse me, they don’t use guns, their weapons of choice are firebombs, WHICH ARE ALREADY ILLEGAL.

Just thinkin’ here, but with everybody INCLUDING THE NRA running around foaming at the mouth screaming that we must disarm EVERY whacko, why can’t we exert some control over the followers of Gaia?

  2. Kristopher says:

Dave needs to show us the way!

    Save the Planet, kill yourself.

We will follow your glorious example … we promise!

  3. -B says:

Make no mistake, he is dead serious about this.

I’m taking him at his word for it, and I also think that it would be justifiable to use counter force if ever he initiates something.

Be scared of this guy. He is crazy and he and his followers are going to try something in the future.

The premise he is generally following, while skewed toward the logical extreme of argument, does have some merit, I think, but his thoughts and actions about how to deal with the situation are just absurd. If he wants humans gone, as commentor Kristopher says, “Kill yourself,” Dave Foreman.

I’ll be happy to volunteer my services to those like him who really want it all to end.
