No habla de Englaise?

Then you are so screwed.

All in U.S. Should Speak English, Say Americans

The vast majority of people in the United States believe everybody who calls themselves an American citizen should speak the national language, according to a poll by Hart/Newhouse released by the Wall Street Journal and NBC News. 89 per cent of respondents support having all immigrants applying for citizenship being required to learn English.

89%? Gee, that is 10% more than the number of people who DO NOT want the current immigration surrender bill to get through either legislative body of the US Government.

Must all be racists.

Which reminds me, Bush is reportedly making a whole lot of phone calls today to try and marshal up some support for the surrender bill.

Here is the contact info for your Senators. I hear that some of them are getting downright testy about having so many of their constituents call them about this bill.

If there is any justice in the world, my elected representatives should be as pissed about the job they’re doing as I am about the job they’re doing.

Give ’em a call.

One Response to No habla de Englaise?

  1. Steve Ronin says:

Called them. Well, tried to. Both the GOP and the Dumbocrat Senacritter’s voicemails are FULL, and the lines are busy. (Staff probably just took the phone off the hook)
So did the end around: called my Representative.
Got straight thru to her. She’s a SMART Republican.
Gave her my opinion and my suggestions, and even mentioned that I couldn’t get thru to my Senators.
“Oh, that’s ok. I’m headed over to their offices in a moment, to give them an earful. Our constituents are NOT happy with the immigration bill. I will let the Senators know about your calls.” she said. Wonderful woman, she is. PRO 2A, to boot.
    So use your voices:
TELEPHONE, EMAIL, FAX, SNAIL MAIL, and CALL Your REPS, too!
