What I did this weekend

A bunch of stuff, even after getting the best haircut I can remember since my yoot.

Let’s see, I edited some video. Mostly road shots from the drive home from Idaho. But here we have what was supposed to be a picture of Captain Chad during our visit to the pistol range the day after coming home from Boomershoot. I forgot the SD card which my video camera requires to store stills, so you get video!

Oh yeah, and I brought in another ammunition storage device, sold to me at the very nice price of $40 by the lovely folks at the Washington State General Administration Surplus Program

You’ll notice that one of the bumper stickers on the filing cabinet matches the one Chad is holding. The other one was given to me by David while he was here and matches one on the back of his truck. The item in the middle top is the 5 shot group (actually a 4 shot group with one flyer touching) made by Barak during sight-in before Boomershoot.

I’d show you what is inside, but due to this cabinet being much larger than my previous one, it looks rather empty. Which is embarassing.

But I’ll fill it up (and then empty it) soon enough.

Lastly, over this last weekend I made a decision that will effect my daily commute. Can’t tell you about it just yet, but I’ll update you in the near future.

My brother is a dirty leg
    ?? Please explain that one.

  2. Actually, that expression is missing a word. The correct expression is “dirty, nasty, leg.”

“Leg” is a perjorative used by airborne troops to refer to non-airborne personnel (also known sometimes as NAPs). Leg is a shortening of “straight leg infantry,” a reference to the fact that historically, the infantry has walked into battle.

To airborne troops, all ‘legs’ are dirty & nasty. The only thing worse than a dirty, nasty, leg, is a dirty, nasty, leg REMF.

When I went through jump school we were told that LEGS stood for Low Energy Ground Soldier, not a high speed low drag death from above airborne soldier.

But HL has the right idea, the only thing worse the being surrounded by LEGS is being assigned to a LEG unit, very bad.

Best haircut ever. Have that wife set down her bon bons and do the haircut. When she finishes make sure she sends a picture to us.
