Yin and Yang

In America, specifically, Texas:

Criminals in Texas beware: if you threaten someone in their car or office, the citizens of this state where guns are ubiquitous have the right to shoot you dead.

Governor Rick Perry’s office said on Tuesday that he had signed a new law that expands Texans’ existing right to use deadly force to defend themselves “without retreat” in their homes, cars and workplaces.

In Canada, specifically, Ontario:

A Liberal backbencher is pushing the Ontario government to study ways to impose more restrictions or even a ban on the sale or possession of ammunition used in handguns.

Brad Duguid says no one except police should be in possession of handgun bullets, and he believes making them harder to get would help lower gun injuries and fatalities.

Hey Mugwug, you need to start makin’ plans, my man. They are.

    I love Texas more and more every day. If you have ever thought of moving south, Texas could use a few more “right” thinking Americans. I think you would like it here.

    Ironic that… my Brother lives in Austin, and I live in Ontario.

    Why do I never hear about this stuff in the news? Thankfully, the provincial Liberals days are numbered, with a little luck and some poetic justice they should follow their federal bretheren soon enough.

    I just love these ass-clowns;

    ..make it illegal to possess the ammunition outside of shooting ranges or official competitions..

    Good thinking. Annother jackass who has no idea how the current system works, and is talking out of his ass.

    Right now, if I want to buy ammunition, ANY ammunition (.22lr, .303 british, 9mmP you name it, if it goes bang and is in cartridge form it qualifies) I MUST produce a valid federal firearms licence, my licence information and purchase is documented at the point of sale.

    But we’d better tighten that down some…you know, just to be safe.

    Liberals, gun control didn’t work out so well, lets try bullet control next.

    -shudder-

    TR, I’m sure I’d like the political climate, but the “hot or hotter” physical climate would be hard on my good humor.
