Because everyone wants to pay $4 a gallon

HR-1500: To provide for the stabilization of prices for gasoline, and for other purposes

Ooh-kay, let’s see here: We’ve got government mandated price controls, mandated specialty blends of fuel, bans on exporting oil from the US, and last but not least, a windfall profits tax on oil companies!

But wait, there’s more!

You get a $3000 tax credit of you buy a car that gets 40mpg or more.

Oh wait, no you don’t.

You only get the $3000 if the car was made by a union-run plant in the US. Honda and Toyota’s plants are non-union, so they don’t count. And since those are the only two cars that currently qualify, you get nothing.

Add to that the sheer number of cars being put together in Mexico and Canada (and Korea, and Germany, and Japan, etc), and no one gets this credit. It is a false sales ploy for the bill

Who do we have to thank for this piece of shit?

Oregon.

Moonbat State Rep, Peter DeFazio, wants you to kiss his ass for gas.

Peter DeFazio is still waiting for the mothership to come back for him. They love him in the SSR of Lane County.
