This is Justice

“Social Activists” have some very twisted ideas of what the word “Justice” means.

To some, it means soending my tax dollars to house those without the want to do it themselves.

Others also believe that if I, someone who was born in 1972, give a chuck of my money to someone who was also probably born around the same time, for the sole reason that they’re possibly a descendant of someone who was born a long time ago and was a slave, because my skin color matches the skin color of the people (who were a minority of white US population at the time) who owned slaves, that that is justice.

I, on the other hand, do not have my head in my ass and believe that this is justice

Also Thursday, police arrested a homeless woman on an outstanding warrant related to a 2005 misdemeanor theft charge from Lacey, said Lt. Phil Comstock of the Lacey Police Department. Carol Harmon, an outspoken supporter of the camp during Tuesday’s City Council meeting, was taken to Nisqually Jail, which Lacey contracts with to house misdemeanor offenders.

Harmon lived at the camp and had told the council, “I’m not going anywhere.”

Headmistress SondraK has been covering this spectacle of stupidity which has consisted of the attempt to ban sleeping on sidewalks in downtown Olympia, which the vagrants who hang out there took to mean that they could set up a tent city in the central park nearby. When the vagrants were told to “get the funk out”, they instead dug in their heels and stated they have every right to turn public property into their dumping and living grounds.

Surround the encampment with the city’s garbage trucks, send riot-suited officers in with spray bottles filled with kerosene. As they are walking through, spraying everything down, they roust the vagrants out and then set a match to the place.

The vagrants have shown that they have no respect for nothing or anyone else but themselves and their own useless “lifestyle choice”. To return the favor is the only “just” course of action.

Burn down the park? I have an alternative suggestion. Surround it with police and armed volunteers. For every 50 pounds of garbage, excuse me, “belongings” they carry out and place in a dumpster, they get a sandwich. Then they get a one-way ride to, say, Tunisia, for some perspective.

I’d be a lot happier if all these “homeless advocates” would stop forcing the government to coddle and support the homeless lifestyle. “Public” places are for ALL citizens, not just the homeless to squat on and do with as they please. Nor should the government be obligated to support these people. In my experience, some -not all- of the homeless are there because they wish to opt out of society as you or I know it. No jobs, homes, and bills for them; they’d rather not work, be intoxicated whenever they can afford it, and not have to deal with the hassles of homes and jobs and bills. Why should the government support them if they choose to not do their part of supporting the social contract? Many “progressives” and “liberals” see the social contract as one-sided, they only see the rights they are given. What they often do not see is the responsibilities they must take on, or they see such responsibilities and demand someone else shoulder them. So instead of forcing the government to support the homeless, I’d like to see the homeless advocates take one bum home for the night, put him or her on the couch for the evening, and cater to their whims. See how they like it when posessions go missing, things get soiled, food becomes scarce.

If the police really break up this homeless camp, they should move it to Ms. Carol Harmon’s place. I’m sure she’d take care of them all fine.

Carol Harmon IS one of the demanding homeless, and not a likable sort of broad either. This camp was roused at 6 am yesterday morning and told they had one hour to gather their things and leave. Four hours later they were still sauntering along – with the city providing coffee and muffins!

Now one of the churches is allowing them to camp out on their lawn, much to the disgust of the surrounding neighborhood, which had no input or advance notice of the upheaval that was to befall their lives. Just this morning the paper listed another level 3 sex offender who has been set loose and allowed to register as a “transient”. There are usually between 2 and 4 of these people listed in the paper each week. So you can imagine some of the upstanding citizens populating this fiasco. To top it off, it’s just blocks from a grade school.

One of the posters to the Olympian summed up my sentiments on giving these losers any kind of consideration. He said: “I refuse to care more about someone than they care about themselves”.

I better stop before my blood pressure slaps me up side the head !
