Dare to be Stupid: 02/15/07

It’s a two-fer!

DTBS#1:

Yesterday, “Silent Patriot” at the CrooksandLiars blog made note that MSNBC’s in-house-idiot, Keith Olbermann had named the producers of ’24’ as one of the “World’s Worst” because West Point Brigadier General Patrick Finnegan asked them to tone down the level of torture on the show.

I can think of a half-dozen more people off the top of my head that could use having Olbermann’s faux-outrage pointed at them more, and probably a full dozen who could use some real outrage.

And none of them have anything to do with a fucking TV show!

DTBS#2:

Jabberin’ John Aravosis of the ineptly named AmericaBlog comes up with another one, making the C&L blogstaff have to share this award.

It seems that the State Farm Insurance Company has lost their ass in the aftermath of Katrina and has determined that insuring the uninsurable (aka: people who live in highly disaster-prone areas) is “A Bad Idea”.

State Farm Insurance Cos. is suspending sales of any new commercial or homeowner policies in Mississippi starting Friday, citing in part a wave of litigation it has faced after Hurricane Katrina, a company official said Wednesday.

So what does Jabberin’ John do?

He pulls out The Race Card, of course!

Wow, is that because State Farm doesn’t like black people, or southern people?

He then goes on to write that he thinks the fed should step in and force State Farm to sell policies it cannot cover.

Could someone put this guy in a cotton box and let the world be free of his stupidity for a while. Please?

A liberal accusing someone of prejudice against Southerners… another case of projection.
