Cross your fingers

Les Jones notes that the bill that would reinstate the federal AWB, HR-1022, has been introduced to committee.

He seems rather confident that it will die there during the reign of the 110th Congress, but I am too much of a pessimist to see that far in the future. Which is why, like Les, I am only buying semi-autos and high-cap mags in 2007. In fact I picked up a new one last weekend at the gun show. You’ll be properly introduced in the not too distant future.

Our good man, The Heartless Libertarian, makes a note about .50cals in the comments there, and if I thought I could afford it and the ammo, I would do so in a heartbeat. Maybe after I build my “lifetime supply” of HK-91 mags.

Just keep these things in mind, is all I’m saying.

In other gun news, Joe Huffman has a quote from Chairman of the Utah Concealed Weapons Permit Review Board, Clark Aposhian, when he spoke about the shooting in Salt Lake City as his quote of the day.

If only every state which required CCWs had a person like Mr. Aposhian in government.
