The last in line

By now I’m sure you’ve already heard of the “Pin-Ups for Vets” Calendar, all the big-name right wing blogs were talking about it last week. But a guy named Matt wrote and very nicely asked for my support, and who am I to refuse something this thoughful for our soldiers?

And who could resist a smile like this from Gina Elise?

I’m told that there is a bicycle in the picture somewhere, but I have yet to see it.

    Dear Softgreenglow,
First of all, I wanted to thank you so much for your post about the Pinup Calendar Project. It’s awesome that you are getting the word out there! Because of the wonderful blog world, I recently received this email:

“My name is Captain Jason Grose and I am the Company Commander for the Medical Hold Platoon, Balboa Hospital, San Diego California.

I recently found your website for your “Pin Ups for Vets” and was wondering if you had ever been invited to San Diego to visit some of our Wounded
Warriors. We treat many of the wounded Marines coming back from Iraq and
Afghanistan. I’m sure they would be thrilled if you had a chance to visit
    them.”

So, I have been in touch with him over the past few days and we have been organizing a visit. Our goal is to get 55 calendars sold for all of the patients there.
So, if your readers can just buy one calendar each for a hospitalized vet, I know we can reach our goal.
Thank you again and if you have any questions, please email me at [email protected]
