OK, who slept through all of yesterday?

Yes, I’d been reading and watching the MSM reports about how bad it was going to be, but you didn’t expect me to think they were going to be right, did you?

I mean, even those of us here in the deep, deep socialist blue of Washington State were able to hold off the Nutroots candidates Darcy Burner in the 8th, Goldmark in the 5th and Wright in the 4th. Granted, we didn’t get any new Repubs into the House, but holding back “The Three (D) Stooges” is damn commendable.

Especially with the weather problems.

The name of the town they “R Stuk N” is Carnation. I knew they got it pretty bad, even compared to what my end of town got, but not quite that bad. Pic found at SoundPolitics. They said they got it from Hugh Hewitt.

And I don’t understand what kind of one-eyed, ejaculating monkey with a #2 pencil could vote for any of the House incumbents and not for Senate incumbent Maria Cantwell’s (R) opponent, Mike McGavick, but I guess that there are certain things in the universe we are not supposed to understand.

On the upside, what with the national results the way they are, the Nutroots don’t seem too miffed about their weeinies losing.

The Dems have taken the House, and most likely the Senate. I’m at the Dem party at the Sheraton, and everbody is hopped, but I’m heading out to Bellevue where Darcy is currently behind in a tight race. I’ve got no idea where any of the numbers are coming from, so I don’t know what her prospects are, but as always, I’d rather be ahead than behind. Cantwell won, the bad initiatives lost, and we’re picking up a bunch of seats in the state legislature. Darcy would be the icing on the cake… but the cake’s pretty damn tasty on its own.

Ain’t it nice how the left just sort of forgets about the candidates they supported so hard when they don’t win? Makes people want to be part of the team!

So far as I can tell, the Senate is still a tossup. Webb keeps declaring victory in VA, but there is a high probability of a recount. Tester in MT looks to be the winner, but as Craig at MT Policits lays out, there are a few places left to count.

For your convenience, and so that Montanians won’t have to listen to the names of places in the state be butchered by the MSM, Craig has been ever so kind as to whip up a pronunciation guide. Locals will find it hilarious. Folks who’ve visited will get a chuckle.

If you click the Webb link above, it will take you to The Lovers of Lamont homeblog, FireDogLake. For them, in rememberance of their loss to Lieberman last night, I would like to just post this pic that they expected to be able to show to Lieberman supporters.

I just don’t want them to forget their intentions.

If you do actually click the Webb link above though, and then scroll down, you will see poster Parachutec trying to play off that not only was it a Democrat sweep, but that they “Pitched a Shutout”. He does it in this McCaskill post as well.

Do not believe it! Do not let them spread this bullshit line!

The (R)’s were able to eek out two new House seat pick-ups (IN-7 and GA-1). Yeah, two versus twenty-two isn’t shit, but I’m not going to have these freaks try and claim a mandate, which you can see Parachutec also do in the McCaskill link above. TRex of FireDogLake tries to claim a mandate as well in his post titled “Subpeonea Powers: Activate!”

Let us not forget that since WWII, a normal loss of Seats in the House for a second term executive in his sixth year is nearly twice the 22 seats the Dems won this week, AND they still haven’t taken the Senate.

The only mandate going on that I can see is a self-love man-date in Charlie Rangel’s bedroom as he pulls his box of tissues under the covers and tries to not wake his wife up while he thinks about holding the government’s purse strings for a couple years.

Sorry for that mental picture.

On the bright side, a government divided is one that doesn’t usually spend a whole lot. Maybe we’ll see Bush finally become “VetoMan”, though I’m not getting my hopes set too high on that one.

I guess all I have left to say now is: You have made a recent large quantity ammo purchase lately, haven’t you?

Ammo purchase, good, gun purchase, even better.

Buy those SKS’, AKs, ARs etc now, while you can get them before next year when the gun-ban attempts start rolling across the POTUS’ desk. Also, buy all the hi-cap magazines you’ll ever need.

Hey thanks for reading the lib blogs so I don’t have to.

It seems like even with the slim majority they’ll have, there will be quite a bit of mischief. Later today, I’ll be posting my newly formed Christmas list (per Rivrdog’s post), so I can have “pre-2007 AW Ban” toys.

Maybe it is time to get that S&W AR…

I even bought a gun to go with my National Ammo Day purchase.

And the story behind my gun purchase will be up soon… what a fricking hassle. I am soo getting out of MD. Especially after they got a D for governor. Just put MD down with NJ and MA…

Additionally, look on the bright side. Now it is all the Democrats fault…
