This is what happens when societies stop putting people who refuse to live within society’s most basic rules to death.

Since you can no longer follow “An Eye for an Eye”, you now have to house the cretins for the rest of their lives.

The next step is the prolonging of their lives: If they need a liver transplant to help them stay alive, no matter if it was the “Jailhouse Jack Daniels” that shot their liver up; they go to the top of the transplant list.

But even before that, some prisoner advocacy group deems it cruel and unsual that the murderous bastard is not allowed out of his cell, so they sue to get him a scheduled “exercise time” every day. The prisoner had enough energy and strength to muder an entire household, and the prisoner advocacy groups want to make sure they stay that fit.

Of course, after a few years of that, some group cries out that one hour per day isn’t enough, even though the prisoner has a humungous library available and 150 channels on the TV, all at taxpayer expense; they believe that the prisoner needs to get outside and communicate with other people and sue to make it so.

The prisoner gets outside and begins fraternizing with some of the others incarcerated for life. There are a few fights and eventually another prisoner gets killed, though the people who sued to get the murderer outside without shackles or handcuffs only complain about the lack of security provided prisoners by the jail.

And again, probably a decade or so later, another advocacy group complains that the jail environment just isn’t a healthy place for someone to spend the rest of their lives. The prisoner needs a “Field Trip”.

Violent killer escapes from prison day trip for second time

A violent criminal who murdered a man after fleeing a prison boat trip has escaped for the second time – while on a shopping trip to Debenhams.

Last night there was outrage that Mark Ryder, 37, was allowed to make the day trip despite having escaped jail in the past and killed a man when he should have been behind bars.

Despite his record – and the fact that he was still three years from the end of his minimum term – Prison Service chiefs decided he was trustworthy enough to be escorted on the trip to help prepare him for release.

But Ryder, who has a cross tattooed on his forehead, gave prison officers the slip on Thursday afternoon while in a busy branch of Debenhams in the Grafton Centre, in Cambridge.

Police and prison officers launched an immediate search of the area, but Ryder had disappeared.

The former market trader is supposed to be serving a life sentence for murder at 800-inmate Category C Highpoint, near Haverhill, in Suffolk.

And of course, because this is the UK, you’re not be able to own a weapon with which you could protect yourself from this murderer that the state let out for a day. The thought of confining for life people who cannot abide in the most basic rule of society, “Don’t hurt anyone”, is so abhorrent to even those who run the prisons, they thought nothing of letting a guy out again, who not only escaped the last time they gave him a day off, he killed someone in an attempt to keep from having to go back.

“Hello, subject. Hope you don’t mind us letting this murderer out for a bit. He was getting cabin fever you see, and we’re under orders to not let it bother him.”
