The Dumbest Thing I’ve Read All Day: 10/12

Did I miss something or is this guy lying?

The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Healths survey stating that over 600,000 Iraqis had been killed during our invasion/occupation of the country isn’t even being believed by some of the more intelligent folks on the left and is being flatly turned down as delusional by right thinking folks across the sphere.

But Will Bunch at Attytoodblog has swallowed it hook, line, sinker, bobber and if I’m not mistaken, even has the fisherman’s hand in his mouth. Not only that, he dilluting the numbers of Iraqis killed by Saddam Hussein in this post, titled

601,027: Study suggests twice as many deaths in Iraq since 2003 as killed by 23 years of Saddam

Saddam lost at least a half million military aged males during his war with Iran, do those not count here?

Bunch tries to claim that Hussein only killed around 300,000 of his own people in 23 years, cites his sources as “Most experts looking at the Saddam years”, but provides no link. I know that I remember that number being over a million and something in the back of my head says over 2 million.

But with this horrifically methodized survey, Bunch gets his “Bush is twice as bad as Saddam” figure. Which is all he could have ever asked for.
