The blogging left is in a full-on tantrum that would put Veruca Salt to shame over a two-part movie/series thingamabob that purportedly drops a lot of blame for September 11th in Clinton’s lap (although they all admit that they haven’t seen it yet and are relying on “Reports”).
The BBC is airing it, and we all know how they love ol Billy, so I’m more than a bit suspect already.
But back to the left’s reaction; Their best defense of Clinton is that in 1996, the Congess blocked Clinton’s attempts to expand wiretapping by the government, to supposedly listen in on terrorists, and it is therefore the GOP who is to blame for the lack of attention paid to al Qiada during the Clinton Administration.
Which confuses me, mostly because they are bitching about Bush and his listening in on calls originating from outside the country and from numbers known to be used by terrorists.
So, are they saying they’re OK with that now? That because Clinton wanted it, expanding the reaches of FISA makes them happy-happy?
