Mikhail Gorbachev, the final leader of the country that lost the cold war, says that we Americans need to learn to not be so full of “Disease”.
Gorbachev: ‘Americans Have a Severe Disease’
And what disease would that be, Gorby?
The former general secretary of the Soviet Union Communist Party accused Americans of arrogance and trying to impose their way of life on other nations.
“Americans have a severe disease — worse than AIDS. It’s called the winner’s complex,” he said. “You want an American style-democracy here. That will not work.”
I think ‘ol Gorbonzo has a ‘loser’s complex’. Maybe an American Style Democracy won’t work everywhere, but just about any style of democracy is better than the government you ran, MSG (his middle name is Sergeyevich).
So screw you Gorby.
And a big screw you to ABC News as well, for stating quite clearly in the very first paragraph of this story that they believe the end of the Cold War was all Gorbachev’s doing and that no American leaders, nor any leader from any other country or religious group, had a hand in the historical happenings or even mentioning that they gave him somewhere to go when it all collapsed.
If we’re “diseased”, then I believe in exactly what Karol said in her post: “Make me sicker!”
