Washington and Oregon are at the bottom of the list for mental health spending, and King County get the lowest state payment for every mental health patient treated.
We’ve got people here who only like representative democracy when their side is winning, and even then, if they can’t have their way in everything, they call out their goon-squads to harrass Citizen Initiative petition signature gatherers or to decry the flow of cash to candidates they don’t like.
I told I was surrounded by crazy people.
FYI: There is no mention of Berkeley or San Francisco in the article. It is my belief that they spend quite a good deal of money locking up and treating the mentally ill in their cities, only they turn free-marketeers into regulation-loving statists with the dough.
We haven’t gotten quite that bad up here just yet.
And don’t worry, I don’t do anything “For My Own Good”, so if they offer me the pills, I’m slipping them under my tongue until I can safely spit them out without having to undergo the electroshock.
