Polls

Recent polling shows that the confidence of the Looney Left and the Dems about their chances this November may be just a lot of Greenhouse Effect Causing Gas

From a WaPo/ABC News poll:

The problem for Pelosi is that, despite all the claims of Republican wrong-headedness, there is not enough evidence to suggest firmly any Democratic advantage on the war, and centrist and liberal Democrats disagree on how much to make the war an issue. While 59 percent of Americans told an Associated Press poll this month that they disapproved of President Bush’s handling of Iraq, 64 percent disapproved of the Democrats’ handling of it. While 62 percent of Americans told a Washington Post/ABC News poll last month that they disapproved of Bush’s handling of the war, an even higher percentage of respondents, 71 percent, said the Democrats do not offer clear alternatives.

Found at Right Thinking

And another poll from WashTimes/Harris:

Seventy-two percent believe that the Iraqis are better off now than they were under Saddam Hussein (slightly down from February 2005 when 76 percent said this was true).

Just over half (55%) think history will give the U.S. credit for bringing freedom and democracy to Iraq (down substantially from 64% in February 2005).

Sixty-four percent say it is true that Saddam Hussein had strong links to Al Qaeda (the same as 64% in February 2005).

If Americans know, deep down, that our soldier’s sacrifices in Iraq will turn out for the better good, it doesn’t wholly matter what they think of Bush, they’ll stick to their guns.

I found this poll via a moonbat site who found it via the CalPundit, Kevin Drum’s blog at Washington Monthly and if you follow those links, you’ll see that, just as the “intellectual” from yesterday who said that people who wanted the immigration laws in this country enforced weren’t smart enough to think otherwise, Drum and the moonbat ‘DemFromCT’ both agree that anyone who believes as these polls describe is just too stupid to know better.

If I wasn’t laughing so hard, I might take offence at their words.

I truly find their scoffing at the stat of how many Americans think Iraq and the Iraqi people are better off now than under Saddam the most hilarious.

If the left would rather inflict Hussein upon the Iraqi people than to have the sectarian fighting, then they are not just stupid, they’re pitiable. The Shia and the Sunnis would have to double their bodycount to even get close to the rate at which Saddam and his murderous sons were killing their countrymen. And it wasn’t random gunfire or car bombs being used then, it was industrialized torture.

And NO ONE was fighting back against Saddam. At least now the Iraqi people have an opportunity to kill those who would kill them.

One Response to Polls

The last bastion of a moonbat is to quote one of their own polls when beginning to lose an argument on it’s intellectual merit.

Not that the GOP is beyond this tacticm mind you. We see it fairly often in politico-religious matters.
