Universal Healthcare Plan Approved in San Francisco

And the socialists rejoiced.

Later, a prediction was made:

Watch the end of 2009. Gavin Newsome is going to have to ask the Feds for money to cover this fiasco. If a Dem gets into the Oval Office, they’ll cover it too.

This is the new socialist strategy for forcing all the rest of us to pay for the shirkers’ health care.

ShrillaryCare didn’t fly because the numbers for it’s cost just stunned everyone. So the plot has changed to allowing individual states/municipalities to bring it in and have the Feds pay for it.

My medical-school daughter would scream at me, of course, but ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE IS NOT A RIGHT. Never has been and never should be.

If you can afford it, you get it. If you can’t, you don’t. Just like eating. The forefathers never said the gummint had to feed you if you were too lazy to work for your beans.

The forefathers said we will make a gummint that will make rules that give you the OPPORTUNITY to EARN MONEY that will pay for all these things.

THAT is the role of gummint, not making rules to hand us all these bennies (and make us pay for them for others).

Increasingly, though, the gummint has lost it’s way when it comes to realizing just what it is that we empowered them to do. Gummint of all stripes has lost it’s way.

That will not change except by bullets, not ballots. You read it here first.

Also note, right in the first sentence: “…a plan that would give adults access to medical services regardless of their immigration… status.”

They should just put up a big banner: “Welcome Illegal Aliens!!!”

You’re right. Somewhere down the road you and I (nowhere near San Francisco) will be paying for this crap.

The employee-minimum in the bill is going to put a lot of restaurants out of work, jack-up the cost of eating out, and SF’s much vaunted position as a #1 tourist destination will go down the over-priced hole. Ha!

    Great.
One more thing to raise the cost of living for everyone there.

    I’ll stick to Ohio….
