Interesting Proposition

The Heartless Libertarian is getting his thoughts together and writing a questionaire to send to political candidates vying for his vote, with topics ranging from firearms to taxes to nominees of the Executive Branch.

Other than the line about the Fair Tax, I could easily have thought this was my list. Well, that and I haven’t gotten around to writing mine up yet.

You should take a read of it and think about making one up of your own. There will be some interesting races this summer and fall and it is good to know where those who want your vote stand.

  1. So, other than the fact that it’s tilting after windmills, what’s wrong with the FairTax?

  2. Analog Kid says:

Bases the income of the federal government on the consumer confidence index. I don’t want the USMC’s ammo supply to be stalled because no one thought up the follow up to the Tickle-Me-Elmo.

Yes, I know that that is over-simplifying the argument, but all it would take would be one year (in a row) for the fed to see how little money they took in and demand an increase in the tax rate.

Doesn’t sound very ‘Fair’ to me.

The flat tax is the better, but yet impossible, plan.
