Well, I was out today picking up the second surprise I mentioned last Monday, (it’ll debut tomorrow) and got a couple calls from some of my union member co-workers who went to the meeting yesterday.
It was basically just a status meeting to keep the guys up to date on the negotiations, but, of course, the rude boys showed up to vent at the speakers. To say it got a bit ugly would be a just a mild understatement.
Words went either way, as did some hand gestures, and the dissention was full-blown. Hopefully, the reports of this that were being called to the union members who didn’t show at that meeting will emphasize how important their attendance at today’s vote really is.
I will post here as soon as I know anything. I’ll bump this to the top for those who care.

UPDATE: No strike.
Whatever went on yesterday put the fear into the guys with cooler heads. I don’t know exactly what they did vote for, either one or two weeks of an extension, but Monday will be business as usual.
