Who exactly are the brownshirts again?

The NW Progessive Institute is launching a campaign called “Report Right Wing Signature Gathering Activity”.

The point of their exercise is to have policically active local liberal and ‘progressive’ folks report where they see people gathering signatures to qualify an Initiative for the state-wide ballot so that they can network someone to that location and verbally harrass both the signature gatherers and folks wanting to sign the petition.

Here is one of the buttons they are encouraging left wing websites to put on ther blogs

I don’t mind a debate on the issues, in fact, I think it is quite healthy, but when one side quashes the debate by sending in people to scream at signature gatherers, I get very pissed, no matter who is doing it.
