Postal Matches

Last week and in the weeks beforehand, I have been linking to Og the Neanderpundit’s series of ‘Postal Matches’.

This weekend, Og had to cancel the series due to lack of participation.

Motherfuckin’ Independence Day weekend!

This is a sad state of affairs when one gunblogger can’t even get ten other gunnies to go to the range to see who has the most hair on their nuts and I am not happy about this.

Together with Mr. Completely, we will be restarting, rearranging, reordering and re-tasking this series. I am not going to ask for your voluntary participation. Think of it as sort of a gunblogging-mandate.

A mandate to not just talk the talk, but to walk the walk and put you money where your mouth is.

I’ve written and posted a seven-plus part series about preparedness that I’m pretty sure most have you have read. I know I get a lot of linkage from that series and I am very appreciative of every single link because I hope that folks are taking it to heart and ensuring that their household is prepared for anything untoward that may happen in the future.

Right now, Nukevet Neal is probably getting his figurative ass blasted by what is being called a “Tropical Storm but is basically an honest to goodness hurricane. While I worry about their house and their pets, I don’t really worry about Neal and Mrs. Nukevet as he has his head securely placed onto his shoulders and is fully kitted up.

And that includes his firearms and ammo.

How about you? Are you set for what I call in non-mixed company “The Deep Shit?

Oh, you think so? Really?

When was the last time you went to the range, bucky? Do you think you’ll be able to pop off a dozen rounds as fast as an emergency requests and actually hit what you’re aiming at? Really? From an open-sighted centerfire carbine? At 100yds?

Prove it.

Be here on Monday when I break out my newest firearm, the one I sold the Bushmaster XM-15 I built by hand for, and I’ll task ya, Sunny-Jim.

Be there or be square, ‘Rifleman’!

Sure have signed for the match!!! On the Fourth my range trip consisted of a Sig 229, Taurus 24/7, an L1A1 and My Garand. To make things short. I SHOT BETTER than any other time IN MY LIFE!!! 400 total rounds and ONLY 10 outside the nine/ten ring. The only camera I had was my cell phone and the quality sucked. I will take part in my first postal match whenever you schedule it!!!
