When does a country

decide to surrender sovereignty without so much as a fight? When does it choose to abandon any responsibility for self defense, and the defense of her citizens? Oh, well – at least they have Kyoto.

One Response to When does a country

  1. I love the Canadians. At the people level, they are decent, law-abiding folk, even the Quebecois that I met 35 years ago.

Nowadays, I only meet the people of BC, when I take my yacht up there to cruise their peaceful waters.

I have this feeling that they barely put up with their overbearing government, which seems hell-bent on cramming them into little corners, demographically and geopolitically.

I have a feeling that if the US offered them the right package, they would accept our government, which is about at the same level of Socalism that theirs was 35 years ago.

Maybe that’s what Condi should be doing, is exploring ways to make the Great White North part of the US.
