As I finish deciding what I’m going to say to the lady, I stand and attempt to walk towards her. I say ‘attempt’ because after gaining my feet, I immediately feel a shock in my lower back and fall to the floor.
As I lay there at the edge of the breaking point of shouting to ask just what the hell is going on, I feel a warm touch on the back of my head.
I look up and the first lady is now back in the room and dressed again. As she walks past me from the general direction of where both the pain and the touch to my skull came from, she says very calmly without looking at me “Now, now Professor. You really do need to stop hurting yourself. Why don’t you just calm down and wait for your ride?”
Apparently, I am not allowed to ask who will be giving me my ride, since when I opened my mouth to ask who would be giving me the ride, the pain comes into my back again. I reach back and feel a pair of wires protruding from above me left hip.
