I send the $$ this Friday and should receive it within seven to ten daysafter that. We’ll start discussing mods shortly thereafter.

I’m also taking name suggestions. Preferably, something German, but hit me with what you got.

How about _Höllenschrecken_, defined by the sexologist Magnus Hirschfeld as “the superlative form of _Schrecklichkeit_”.
    (source: http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=412116).
    Maybe Holly for short.

  2. DFWMTX says:

    Hans.

As in “you can have this gun when you take it from my cold dead Hans” or “Hans off my rifle”.

  3. Evil Conservative says:

    Smiter des Ãœbels

    German for Smiter of Evil

  4. Phil says:

    I’m liking these!

  5. David says:

    Nägelhersteller = “Nailer.”

Or: Hammer. Yes, it’s the same in both languages.

    DWFMTX, “Hans” is sehr clever!

  6. Christopher says:

Teufel= devil, but not the Devil.

  7. Darrell says:

    Kate, or Katerina.

  8. Jack says:

C’mon, gotta be “Brunhilde”. Big, strapping, don’t mess with me German name. Hildy for short.

  9. Mark Rosenbaum says:

    Check out

    for lots of suggestions.

  10. Rivrdog says:

How about “Der Spitznagler” “The Nail-spitter”, since it IS 7.62 NATO, a real, manly battle rifle cartridge, and since Herr Vorgrimmler managed to make his rifle light, but absorbant of most of the recoil, you can spit out a lot of rounds, on target, quickly.

When are you going to get some evil-looking plastic furniture for it, or will that upset the 922r folks?

BTW, the 922r rules just suffered a defeat in court, see David Hardy’s blog.

BTW2, lay in a LARGE supply of 7.62. If your G-3 is as much fun to shoot as my CETME Modelo “B”, you will burn through some humungo amounts at the range…

  11. DFWMTX says:

Actually, since what you have there is a modern descendant of the Sturmgewehr 44, the first assault rifle, calling it Sutrmgewher would work. Or Sturm, or even Sturmy if you want to get slightly cute.
